About the author

Margrét Hallgrímsdóttir is Director of the National Museum of Iceland and has led the institution and the field of cultural heritage museums since the turn of the 21st century. She was the Director of Reykjavik Museum 1989-2000 and has a background in archaeology, history and public administration.
